Tinted GP Clock Works Tag

Following my PA Christmas Cracker project I'd mixed up far too much GP as you do, so added some blue paint to the greens and put them through a couple of T!m stencils onto a large black tag.

I then sanded the whole thing back.

And finally added treasure gold and metallic pan pastels. Unfortunately this isn't a true representation of the tag, it's much brighter IRL but the weather these last couple of days has been so dark, wet and gloomy that I couldn't get a good photo. I tried using the daylight lamp but it was too reflective.

Pan Pastel Atc's

The background text paper was coloured with a variety of pan pastels except where I wanted to stamp the face.  Acetate was added and attached via the brad top right and the pen nib was added over the acetate.

The image was stamped first onto a white piece of card, then coloured with various colours of pan pastels working from light in the middle to darker outside edges.  Extra stamping, star brads and the idea-ology word was added.

Background coloured with a light yellow pan pastel, mini cubist stencil used with a further 2 colours. Image added and covered, crackle image stamped in versa mark and heat embossed with platinum wow powder. Arrow with brad and idea-ology words added.

And all 3 side by side.

PanPastelUk have a theme of anything goes this week, so been as I've used pan pastels on all of my backgrounds I'm entering these into the challenge.

PA Christmas Crackers 1 & 2

I've been playing along with PA Christmas Cracker videos. I used the foundations of the first one and added in elements of the second one. You can see them here and here. I painted a piece of chipboard in mocca mousse and pencilled in roughly where I wanted things to go.

Put some little piles of GP on craft mat and added fresco paints, starting with the greens.

Thoroughly mixing the paint into the GP.

And proceeded to cover the stencil with the grunge paste.

I carried out exactly the same process for the bricks using stone, chocolate pudding and French roast. I love how the colours have mingled.

It was here that I used some of the techniques from Christmas Cracker project 2 and stamped images into the wet GP.

Once completely dry, I sanded back the whole piece.

I added my window frame, fence and trees. I haven't decided what to put behind the window yet.

And finally I added aquamarine treasure gold to the green areas to hi-lite the texture in the GP and

Onyxite treasure gold on the bricks.

To Give

I randomly applied grunge paste to the background, painted it in various colours of fresco paints. Coloured the arch with the bronze metallic pan pastel and then decided to rub over the grunge paste with it too!! The LP image was stamped onto crackly tissue paper in black stazon and glued with mod podge.

The reason I chose the words 'to give' is because Susan at Stamp Diva sent me the hand stamp (left) by mistake, but had missed out one I did order, Goddess Cartouche (right). So I contacted her and she not only told me to keep the one she'd sent by mistake but sent the one I did order free of charge ie no further postage costs.

So I used parts of the new stamp to randomly stamp in the blank spaces on the background.

Creating Faces

I loosely painted a piece of chipboard with ice blue fresco paint, and once dried randomly slapped on some grunge paste and scored and prodded it to create some texture. The grunge paste is coloured with sapphire treasure gold to bring out the texture. The Hampton Arts image is stamped in black stazon onto crackly tissue paper to allow the texture and the colour to show through.  Finally a piece of coloured acetate was added to the eye.

Close up of the grunge paste and treasure gold.

The background of this piece was painted in stone fresco paint. Using the largest face from my new classics #5 plate I stamped in black stazon again onto crackly tissue paper and used mod podge to glue it to the background. I coloured a piece of acetate with eggplant, sail boat blue and juniper and placed it over the top.

Remember when I was playing with Utee here, this is one of the pieces I made which I've used as an embellishment.

Changing Faces

Another piece of chipboard randomly covered with grunge paste, painted with various colours of fresco, haystack, Spanish mulberry, stone and cinnamon.  I stamped the image in black stazon onto crackly tissue paper. Using my new spellbinders sprockets set I cut the gear from very thin cardboard. I coloured a piece of acetate in latte, ginger and caramel, ran it through an embossing folder and attached with T!m's tiny attacher.

I added another of my Utee embellishments.

CD Revival

I've been playing around with a couple of old Cd's.

I cut the first one into sections and stamped on the shiny side of each one using black stazon. If you're going to try this, you need to slightly heat the cd before you cut it or it will just crack!!

I added sail boat and lemonade alcohol inks which mixed and made the green. The circle in the middle of the face is my camera reflecting!!

This piece was coloured with sunset orange alcohol inks and some smaller pieces coloured in lemonade.

I didn't add anything to this piece, just the stamping.  For the background I scrunched up a piece of sticky silver foil and stuck in onto a piece of card and coloured with black soot alcohol ink.

For the background I heat embossed flourishes and script with white wow powder and coloured with shades of blue and silver pan pastels. I coloured the stamped cd piece with juniper alcohol ink and mounted on a piece of frayed fabric.

And the idea for my final piece was inspired by Jo's first project over on the PA blog.  I haven't used any of the materials she did, just the idea she used of lining up her moths. I took some pieces of cd, left a gap between each piece and stamped two of T!m's butterflies.

For the second cd I decided to colour each of the pieces this time before I stamped on them.

I stamped with black stazon directly onto each piece of the cd. I much prefer the pieces that I completely coloured as opposed to the partly coloured ones.

Background for this one is coloured with portfolio pastels and I added a gem to they eye as I didn't like the placement of it over the alcohol ink.

Background is coloured in pan pastels, a piece of tulle was anchored under the eyelets and then using the heat gun, shrivelled and burnt. Rock star was added in seedless preserve distress ink.

Oooh for this one I used my new pan pastel metallics, the pewter and the silver really compliment each other. Stamping added in black stazon along with sticky silver embossed panel and wire.

Using shades of green distress ink and Dina Wakely stamps I created the background with the grunge trees stamped in black archival.

And finally copper embossed script coloured with a blend of copper and bronze metallic pan pastels. Eyelets added to attach the cd piece each with a strip of  melted organza.

AI's and Acetate

Using one of my new LP stamps I stamped in black stazon directly onto white card. I stamped the PA limited edition onto white paper and stuck it on a piece of black card which I next stuck onto the white card. Using cranberry, pitch black and gold I coloured a piece of acetate which I laid over the top.

The grunge butterfly was stamped onto white card, the word possibility was stamped onto paper as was the alternative. Cranberry, watermelon and black soot were used to colour a piece of acetate and placed over the top. The alternative word was mounted onto white card and everything was matted onto a piece of black card.

And finally for this piece the glossy card was coloured with alcohol inks, the main image was stamped onto acetate, just a different way to use them. Using this technique you can place the image where you want. I chose the white space to show the face.

Embrace Everything

The acetate was coloured with cranberry, pitch black and watermelon alcohol inks. The LP image was stamped in black stazon directly onto the acetate and the right hand side was run through an embossing folder. This was mounted onto white card. The black backing piece is from a layer of chocolates (yes, we've eaten a layer already!!). I stamped the words onto white card, cut them out and layered them on the top of the acetate.

Have a Heart Canvas

Taking another of my new stamps 'Have a heart' by Lynne Perrella for Stampington & Co. I stamped onto crackly tissue paper with black versafine, which incidentally took absolutely ages to dry. Coloured the heart with festive berries distress paint as I wanted it really red, turned it over and pained the back with snowflake fresco paint. I cut really close up to the tissue and glued it onto the canvas with mod podge. Using little black dress fresco paint I stamped directly onto the canvas with my favourite and one and only Traci Bautista stamp.

One of the side panels.

And another.
